Dr. Joseph Bentey, a lifelong New Jersey resident, remains deeply connected to the Garden State, where he continues to live and practice medicine.He began his academic journey at St. Joseph College Preparatory School in Metuchen before pursuing his undergraduate education at Lafayette College. While there, he served as a Resident Advisor and earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.

 

Dr. Bentey went on to obtain his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from St. George’s University School of Medicine.His post-graduate training includes a Fellowship in Integrative Psychiatry at the Integrative Psychiatry Institute (IPI) and a yearlong externship in General Psychiatry at Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY.

 

Dr. Bentey completed his residency in General Psychiatry at Hackensack-Meridian Ocean University Medical Center in Brick, NJ, where he gained comprehensive expertise across the diverse spectrum of psychiatry.Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Bentey enjoys a well-rounded and active lifestyle. His hobbies include cooking, mountain biking, traveling, exercising, and avidly following Formula 1 racing.
