Brittany Simonelli
MSW, LSW
Guided by person-centered therapy, I approach each individual with compassion, unconditional positive regard, and genuineness.
I believe the therapy office should be a place where people feel safe exploring vulnerable and difficult experiences in life. Provided that safe space, psychotherapy should help reduce feelings of anxiety, build confidence, and create more satisfying connections with others.
I utilize a psychodynamic and experiential approach, while encompassing techniques from cognitive-behavioral and dialectical-behavioral therapy. I work with children, adolescents, and adults and have extensive training in crisis intervention. I am also a certified yoga instructor with vast mindfulness and meditation experience. I am trauma-informed and understand that each individual has their own beliefs learned through their own experiences.
The psychotherapy process is not a one-size-fits-all approach. Different people have different expectations and goals, and I approach each person with flexibility, tailoring the intervention to their individual needs. My role in the therapeutic process is to help you get where you were always meant to go while providing you with support along the way.
